Generally people don’t want to be alone so they cannot even think about a solo trip. But the thing is, if we are going on a solo trip, it doesn’t mean we are alone. Because during a solo trip we meet a lot of people and make new friends and even we never notice that there are many things we have already done alone. There are many examples I can give, like — we went school alone in our childhood, we didn’t know anyone there before, we made friends later. Even when we joined a new job, we were all alone but later we made new friends. So what’s wrong with travelling?

We all know how to do well in a job alone, how to learn things alone, how to cook alone, how to sleep alone but we don’t know how to live alone. But solo travel teaches us how to live alone, how to enjoy being alone and how to smile with strangers. We always want to see ourselves among people whom we already know but when we choose an unknown place where everything is unknown to us then life teaches us a lot.

How Solo Trip is Beneficial

Get closer to yourself — when you take yourself to completely an unknown place among unknown people, you are the only person whom you know better. And then you observe yourself more, talk to yourself more, build more trust in yourself and automatically you get closer to yourself.

Build confidence — we have to handle many things while doing a solo trip like — stay, food, people to talk with, transportation, shopping, planning, information, etc. These things teach us a lot and we build confidence.

Build maturity — when we handle all of these things together, we build certain level of understanding that how to talk to people, whom to talk, where to go, what is safe and mainly we start understanding people with good intuition or bad intuition and at time we don’t even need to talk to understand there intuition.

Become independent — when we handle everything alone and face all the problems and solve them alone, it makes us independent.

Make your own plans — this is the measure benefit of a solo trip. If you want to make any changes in your trip or want to do something in your own way then you don’t need to ask anyone and also you don’t need to follow other’s plan unwantedly. It is all yours.

You do travel more effectively — when we travel with family or friends, we enjoy with them but forget to enjoy the trip and because of that we miss a lot of things. We don’t observe the place where we are, we don’t talk to locals because we already have people to talk to.

Develop mindset — after all negative thoughts and all fear when you go for a solo trip, then you meet many people out there who criticise you that why are you doing solo trip, it is not safe, this is so difficult, etc. and then you feel so upset. And if you handle all of that and make your trip best. You will develop a very strong mindset and even then you will never mind any kind of criticism or back pulling.

I hope this blog help you to make a mindset for solo travel.
