Do you want to build status and reputation and maintain it? Of course! We all don’t want to compromise with status and reputation. Even most of us can compromise with our life, can compromise with our happiness but don’t want to do any kind adjustment with status and reputation.
We want to build this status and reputation in our family, society, city, country and world. The bigger the area you focus on, the bigger your stress. But the thing is, is it really in our control or we are just wasting our time?
This is not in our control directly. Status and reputation build upon, what people are thinking about us and, how they are treating to us. Indirectly we can control it but not entirely. We can behave politely, we can respect others, we can respond with responsibility. Then there are more probability, people may respect with love in their heart. That may help building status and reputation. But still we cannot expect respect and love in return. This is completely others choice.
If nothing is in our control and we cannot do anything directly to get it, then why we give too much importance to it? There is only one thing in our control that is respond with responsibility. To be responsible there are few things we can do, given below-
- Respect everyone weather they are elder or younger
- Be helpful without pride or anything in return,
- Be a good listener then a good speaker,
- Give valuable product or service to client. (to build a reputed business)
If we achieve all of these mentioned above, this is not the guarantee of status and reputation. Sometimes we do our best, we respect everyone, help everyone, listen everyone, offer valuable service to customer but still we fail to build good status and reputation in their eyes and the simple reason behind this is we cannot make everyone feel happy. There will be always some people who will never be happy for us, in other words, they don’t want to be happy for us. They will always criticize us. So basically it’s not in our control that how people should feel about us. And if it’s not in our control then let it be.
Do not waste you energy and time on the people not agree with you. Only focus on your responsibility, focus on yourself. Work on yourself and build status and reputation in your own eyes. So when you see yourself in mirror, you can face yourself. And I think this is the best achievement, we can do hard work for.
